This color system is based on my understanding of the Fletcher booklet color system. The main point of the triangle points to blue violet. The only complement colors on the color wheel are blue and orange. The others are split complimentary colors. The blue and the orange, to my understanding, will never be grayed with each other. They will be most vibrant if they are placed next to each other in the painting, and they will be the main theme of the painting. The other colors, which are 7 points on the color wheel, will never cross the center of the color wheel in order to gray them. For the other 5 points on the wheel that are missing, we can create them by mixing neighboring colors. That means that the missing points are not allowed to be squeezed from the tube. In doing so, the painting has a better color unity. In the center of the wheel, we'll have a mixture of the three points of the central triangle. In this case, blue violet, red orange and yellow will achieve the darkest point that can be used as black in the painting. For more infromation on how to use the other colors, follow my blog or contact me for classes.
